Happy World Book Day

What a life that we have! What kind of living we are living? How boring or mundane life is without the company of friends. Well, I am not talking about human friends. Of course, they are important, yet they are not always available as to when you need them. They have their own life also. Nothing is more valuable as friends as books. They are always there (especially in the time of the need when you required them) to guide, to counsel, to correct, to criticize, to reflect and to solace. They are the handy tools which is there to accompany you even at the oddest times. They are always there to help you in whatever subjects you ask for. They are a solace to life and freedom from the tantrums of daily life. You rest upon the magical world of books which really heal your wounds, provide new solutions, new insights to your old problems.

I love books because they made me. I love them deeply because they understand me and gave me so many insights that might not be generated in one lifetime. Consider this, thousands of expert minds are ready to counsel you, they are at your service through their books. Amazing! I have learnt that we must respect a book and reading must be the daily disciplined ritual. Reading hours must be observed with religious zeal and passionate tempo.
Why are the books so important?
Well, they save lives, in fact, exalt our lives. Uplift us from gutters of mediocracy to sublime nature. Solutions of all your problems are already written down ages before your birth and still solutions are written daily by some bright minds, somewhere around the corner. For example, Stephen Covey through ‘Seven Habits of Highly Effective People’ teaches the power of ethical living and effective habits for enriching life. Those who have adopted these seven habits; even one of them, is also ahead of the majority of the masses. Napolean Hill through his book ‘Laws of Success’ which was a big bulky volume which was later condensed into a little book named ‘Think and Grow Rich’. This book is considered a masterpiece of success and wealthy lifestyle. Go to any success training or seminar, they will give this book for a recommended to reading for better financial life. Les Giblin through his book, ‘Skill with People’ provides practical insights to develop skills of how to get along with others which is the best skill required today according to Harvard Survey (2018).  Books of Robin Sharma are inspiring. Mahatria Ra through his ‘Clarity is Power’ provides simple and profound solutions of the most poignant problems of life. To develop practical intelligence and real-life sense, Robert Greene’s ’48 Laws of Power’, ‘Art of Seduction’ and ‘Mastery’ are very advantageous. If I start quoting the influence of writers and their books, 10 volumes are also not enough. But here the purpose is not to praise the authors and their works, but to create awareness that life is beautiful and simple and success if we resort to the wonderful world of books.

In nutshell, what do we want in life? Well, the obvious answer is peace and happiness. But unfortunately for many, life is simple in the start, messy in middle and painful at the end. Books can a way to explore more options than ever possible in one life.

Something magical is there about books which may not be logical.

Keep Reading, Keep Enjoying Books.

Happy World Book Day.
